At the beginning of April I'm going to be getting a little brother or sister! I know that Mommy has a baby in her tummy, but I don't really talk about it unless someone asks me. If I'm asked if it's a girl or a boy baby I always say, "A boy baby like baby Ian." But when you ask me what we should name the baby I say, "Caroline" every single time (I think everything should be named Caroline, from my baby dolls, to a bug that was hanging out on the window). I was a little dissapointed to find out that Caroline wasn't on Mommy and Daddy's list for boy names!

Go Dawgs!
Well, the season didn't start off the way we were hoping, but I'm excited to cheer for the Bulldogs this year. I was also excited that a new football season meant a new dress for me. Everyday when I'm getting dressed I ask if I can wear my "Georgia dress." That makes Daddy proud!
Daddy has been REALLY excited about the new season!

Outside Fun
My legs are finally just about long enough for me to ride my tricycle by myself.
This is hard work!
I took a break from my trike to walk Mack, one of my favorite things to do. I'm lucky he didn't jump over that silt fence, like he looks like he's about to do in this picture!
Look at us go!
I think I wore him out! (the sticker on my shirt is from Publix, or, as I call it, "Plug-its.)

First Day of Preschool!
Tuesday, August 4, 2009
These pictures are also from a few weeks ago (notice a trend here?). We met some of my buddies for some pool time, but took a few minutes to play on the playground first. Here are Davis and I taking the school bus for a spin.
Lauren was there too!
We also took the fire truck for a spin.
Sarah helped Ian try the slide for the first time!
Ready or not...
Croquet Face-Off
A few weeks ago the Stephens came over and we pulled out the croquet set. It was mine and Sara's first time to play. She was a little better at following the rules than I was!
Here I am performing an illegal block.
Sara knew what was good for her, she stepped aside and let the master (that's me) do her work (my tongue sticking out shows how intensely I was concentrating).

Don't Think It Works That Way!
I have a bunch of pictures to post, which I'll do sometime this week. But, for now I just wanted to document another funny Anna moment. This weekend the 3 of us went to Charleston to see one of my best friends from high school Natalie, and her husband, Buck. Nat is having a baby boy in September. Last night after we got back from dinner and were all relaxing Anna went over to Natalie and started patting her belly. I guess a baby in the belly isn't quite exciting enough for Anna because after a second she looked at Nat and said, "Let him out!" We all got a good laugh out of that one. If only it were that easy!

Ian and I
Here is a little video of Ian and I hanging out. I love watching it and crack up every time at the part where I call Ian a giraffe!
Holding Baby Ian
On Friday 2 of my favorite people, Sarah and Ian (or Baby Ian as I call him) came over for to go for a walk and hang out. Since Ian is a little sturdier now I got to hold him. I loved it! I think that Ian liked it too. Mommy and Sarah realized that they might have created a monster when Ian took a nap in my old crib and when he woke up I said, "I want to hold him!" Good thing that Ian is a good sport and doesn't seem to mind the cuddling at all. That afternoon when I woke up from my nap I told Mommy, "I miss Baby Ian" and stuck out my little pouty lip. It's a good thing that I never have to go too long without seeing him!

Too Heavy!
This morning Anna and I took advantage of the Regal free summer movies with our neighbors. We saw a Veggie Tales movie, and I think Anna loved her 1st experience going to the movies! On our way home we were going to be driving right past Keith's office, so we picked him up and grabbed luck at our favorite, Chick-Fil-A. After we ate Anna wanted to play some. If you've been to a Chick-Fil-A playground you know how the steps are set up to keep kids from falling down. Well, most of the time Anna does great with the steps, but at this particular Chick-Fil-A they were spaced really far apart. Poor girl tried her hardest to hoist herself up there (and of course, Keith and I just sat and watched to see if she could do it), but after a few minutes got really frustrated and said, "Ughh, I'm too heavy!" Which doesn't sound really funny as I'm typing it, but Keith and I were rolling. We did take pity on her and give her a boost, but she had the exact same problem with the next step and decided that she'd had enough.

Lauren's Swingset
4th of July
We celebrated the 4th at my good buddy Lauren's house. Here are the kiddos with their mommies. From left to right, Sarah and Ian, Sara and Lauren, Mommy and me, Rosie and Avery, and Shannon and Davis.
A silly group shot.
Then they decided to get a picture of just the kiddos and I decided that i was outta there!
Not so fast, said Mommy, and this is how I felt about it!

Safety First!
We kicked off a fun 4th of July weekend by cooking out with some of our neighbors. I'm so lucky to have lots of little girls about my age in the neighborhood (although Mommy didn't get pictures of any of them, oops). After dinner we went outside to enjoy a few fireworks. They were pretty neat, but I was much more interested in my friend Emma Rose's tricycle. I wanted to be safe, so I went into another neighbors garage and came out with this helmet on. You think it's a good look for me?
Thanks Gran!
A few weeks ago Gran sent me this Little People airplane, and I think it's my favorite toy yet! The first few days I had it i played with it every minute that I was awake. Notice how clean my playroom is? That's because I was too engrossed in the plane to pull everything out like I normally do. Oh, you'll have to excuse my crazy hair and lack of pants, we were just having a lazy day at home!

Funny Girl
This age definitely has some challenges, but I am loving it. 2 year olds are so funny! Anna is really starting to say some cute things, which I've been meaning to post, mainly so I'll remember them. So, I'm starting today!
We just got back from a walk and I told Anna that she could watch an episode of Little Einsteins while I packed our lunch for the pool. She went over and sat on the couch and I turned on the tv, but forgot to put on an episode of Einsteins. A few minutes later this is what I hear:
Anna: I want Einsteins (in that lovely two year-old whine)!!
Me: Oh, I forgot to turn it on for you. I'm sorry!
Anna: Big mess, Mommy made a big, big mess!
If forgetting to turn on Einsteins is the biggest mess we have all day I think we'll be in good shape :)
